Beyond all others, vodka is a drink of purity. But true, organic purity can be hard to find, even in the finest untainted vodkas. Akvinta is the first luxury Mediterranean vodka made from premium ingredients, with a name that’s been inspired by three Latin words each corresponding with its unique ingredients: Aqua (water), Quinta (five) and Vinum (wine). It so happened that the perfect blend of ingredients and the ideal production place was discovered in the breathtaking valley of Imotski, Croatia; situated less than 30 miles from the clear shores of the Adriatic Sea. Indigenous spring water is a key component of Akvinta (more than half of vodka content is water) and Croatia boasts the third largest reserves of fresh water in Europe.
Untouched by any sugars or artificial smoothness agents, Akvinta is a distinct cut above many other leading vodkas, with a distillation process that is equally unrivalled. Processed from Italian wheat, the vodka undergoes a unique patented quintuple filtration process through natural elements that include birch, charcoal, marble, gold, silver and platinum – purifying the water and the finished product in turn. Akvinta has a distinctive subtle aftertaste, rather like the refreshing distinction between spring water and the kind you drink from a tap.
